Ricky Paull Goldin and Gretta Monahan Welcome a Baby Boy! — See the First Photos!
Congratulations to daytime alum Ricky Paull Goldin and his wife, Gretta Monahan, who welcomed a baby boy named Rio on June 12! The delighted mom announced her second child’s birth on Instagram a week later, sharing a photo of herself and the newborn in the hospital!

Monahan also celebrated Goldin on Father’s Day by sharing a gorgeous photo of Rio and their six-year-old son, Kai and a heartfelt message. “Number one daddy times two this year!” she wrote. “Ricky Paull Goldin, our hero. We love you so very much!”

Goldin got his start in daytime as Dean Frame on ANOTHER WORLD, and is best known for his roles as Gus Aitoro on GUIDING LIGHT and Jake Martin on ALL MY CHILDREN. He also had roles on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS as Gary Dawson and THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL as Jesse Torres. More recently, the actor has turned to producing, creating the reality series PROJECT DAD for Discovery Life.
Goldin announced his wife’s pregnancy back in March, and spent the morning of his second son’s birth working out! “Actually went to SoulCycle at six a.m. to get rid of anxiety!” he shared on Instagram. “Hoping everything works out at the hospital today.”
Everything clearly did work out at the hospital, and the entire family seems absolutely overjoyed with their new addition. We can’t wait to see more beautiful photos of Rio in the future as he gets to know his parents and big brother!
