Ryan Paevey Shares a Heartfelt Message With His GENERAL HOSPITAL Fans

Tags:

A lot of GENERAL HOSPITAL fans still aren’t over the death of Detective Nathan West or the departure of his popular portrayer, Ryan Paevey, from the soap, but the actor sat down for a brief video posted to YouTube so he could offer some heartfelt words of gratitude to those loyal viewers.

“I wanted to take a moment to say thank you,” he smiled. I know it’s been a while. I’m sorry it took me so long to do it, it’s been a little hectic since I got off the show. But I wanted to say thank you. For your kind words, for your support, for everything… from my first day on the show to my last day on the show. I really needed some support. It really meant a lot to me at a time when I was really just trying to figure out what I was doing and find my feet. And I find myself in a time like that again, so thank you.

GH was my start,” Paevey added. “It was a great place to call home for four years. I made great friends there, many of whom I still talk to. And I hope you’ll stick around. I’m going to continue to give you cool stuff to watch. The first of which, being, by the time you see this, I will be in Canada shooting Marrying Mr. Darcy, so stick around — this is just the beginning!”

Scheduled to premiere on Saturday, June 2, to kick off Hallmark Channel’s June Wedding’s month, Marrying Mr. Darcy is the sequel to 2016’s Unleashing Mr. Darcy, in which Paevey starred opposite Cindy Busby as Donovan Darcy and Elizabeth Scott. Although the first film in the series was based on a novel by Teri Wilson, the author admitted that this time around there is no book. “But I wrote the story treatment for the movie,” she tweeted.

The first film saw Paevey and Busby’s characters falling in love against the backdrop of a dog show, but while Hallmark has not yet released a plot summary for Marrying Mr. Darcy, the title would seem to be quite a giveaway!

The Hallmark romance won’t actually be the first that GH fans will see of Paevey this year, however. That won’t be premiering until June, but the episode of BROOKLYN NINE-NINE in which he is guest-starring (as a cop, no less!) is scheduled to air on Sunday, May 6. So mark your calendars for that!
