General Hospital's TK Weaver Has No Plans to Leave the Soap

Child actor TK Weaver gave a little bit of a scare to GENERAL HOSPITAL fans with a recent tweet that led them to worry he was going to be leaving the soap! The boy, who plays Danny Morgan on the ABC sudser, shared a photo of himself digging into a big plate of chocolate chip pancakes at IHOP with the caption: “Killing time between new pilot auditions. Wish me luck!”

Weaver debuted as little Danny on GH back in May of 2016, and quickly became a fan favorite, so many feared his landing a role on a new show could take him away from Port Charles. But he was quick to reassure them. “I love being Danny, and I’d never leave GH,” he tweeted. “Secretly — please don’t tell my mom — I hope to one day follow in my dad’s footsteps. He’s like a superhero in the mob. So cool! But I’m still very young, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens with Danny.”

As the son of Steve Burton’s Jason and Kelly Monaco’s Sam, Danny could have the skills to follow in their footsteps, but some viewers were also a little worried about Weaver’s choice of a career for his alter ego! “Loving all the comments,” he tweeted back at them. “Don’t worry, I think lots of five-year-olds think being a spy or superhero would be cool. Things change. My mom says no guns — not even fake — and I don’t like them either so… we’ll see what happens when Danny grows up.”

He also reported that his auditions went quite well! “I want to thank you all for your kind words and support,” he tweeted to fans. “I so appreciate having you all along with me on this journey. I think I did pretty well on my first audition, I was too tall for the second, and I am hopeful about the third. I’ll keep you posted!”
