Her birthday was back in May, but GENERAL HOSPITAL star Kelly Monaco (Sam) was celebrating her age and her all-natural beauty in a recent Instagram post! “No fillers, no filter,” she said of her gorgeous selfie. “This is 42. All women are beautiful.” And in keeping with her stance against online bullying, the actress added the hashtags “#bekind,” “#bereal,” and “#dontbebullied.”
Monaco has been a stunner since she first launched her show business career with an appearance in Playboy as Playmate of the Month in 1997. She then went on to land the role of Susan on BAYWATCH. But the actress became a daytime star when she joined the cast of GH spin-off PORT CHARLES in 1999. And her beauty is more than just skin-deep, with her acting talents earning her a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her work as Livvie Locke on PC in 2003.
After PC was canceled in 2003, Monaco moved over to GH as the newly-created character of Sam McCall, and her star continued to rise. She also earned another Daytime Emmy nod, this time for Lead Actress, in 2006. In 2005, she competed on the first season of DANCING WITH THE STARS and after struggling initially, won the grand prize in the end! She returned in 2012 to compete again on the All-Star season, and even headlined in a Vegas burlesque show called Peepshow in 2009. Is there anything she can’t do?
